Edwin Joseph had surgery on Tuesday. I saw the photographs myself -- that is my reporting, not a school release, and I say so on the episode. One correction in my own voice: Joseph is a SAFETY. Number 14, senior, a Florida State transfer. I called him a corner earlier this week and the roster says otherwise. The timeline matters. Pete Golding said Monday that Edwin was the only injury concern for Saturday, that it was an ankle, and that they were getting a second opinion. The appointment was Tuesday. So was the surgery. Ole Miss puts a different body in the secondary against an offence that is first in the SEC on the ground behind a quarterback with one interception all season. Then segment two: Will Echoles is the best NFL prospect on this roster and you cannot pick him out of a lineup. Bleacher Report's scouting department has had him 8th overall on its 2027 big board -- ahead of Chambliss at 14 and Kewan Lacy at 21. Outland and Bronko Nagurski watch lists. His 19th consecutive start came at Vanderbilt. The honest counterweight: interior defensive linemen do not put up numbers that travel, and Echoles does not lead this team in sacks or tackles for loss. A big board is scouts, not a box score.
