Trinidad Chambliss threw for 241 yards against Missouri on Saturday and moved past John Fourcade on Ole Miss's all-time passing list - a place Fourcade had held since 1981. Then Fourcade came on this show and was gracious about it. The numbers: Chambliss is at 5,613 career passing yards. Fourcade threw for 5,412 between 1978 and 1981. Ole Miss's own postgame notes put Chambliss ninth all-time; Sports Illustrated has him eighth, past Jordan Ta'amu's 5,600. This show is not settling that on air. Either way, Kent Austin at 6,184 is the next name up. Fourcade, on this show Monday: "I told myself, well, hell, if I'd have played in that offense for four years, I'd have been ahead of anybody in the Rebels list of players." And then: "But look, different style offense, different years, and I'm happy for the young man. I don't think he's all about the stats. He's about winning, and that's the most important thing." Second segment: nobody actually knows whether Colin Simmons plays Saturday. On3's Pete Nakos, ESPN's Pete Thamel and Orangebloods' Anwar Richardson have all reported on the high ankle sprain and they agree. Texas has said nothing. The SEC availability report lands Wednesday evening, and that is when reporting becomes a designation. Does Simmons play? Comments. Locked On Ole Miss Hits - quick takes on the Rebels every weekday.
